Loach is Queen DeBora’s Executive Assistant. He is an old man, and has been kept on from the previous administration. His wealth of worldwide, oceanographic, and celestial knowledge makes him so indispensable, that even a murderous psychopath like the Queen has given up threatening his life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three times daily he broadcasts Temple-wide weather announcements: sunrise, noon, and sunset – that provide hunting and gathering parties a basis by which to plan their outings. Really though, he uses the barometric and celestial messages as a chance to wax poetic about the moon and stars and at least provide (in his estimation) a bit of escape from the doldrums for the wider Temple population, most of whom are prevented from ever seeing the surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
